CETPA sponsors several discussion lists or "Listservs" that represent current topics of importance and interest to the association. By joining these listservs, members receive all communications posted to these lists and have the opportunity to post messages or queries to all of the list's members. These lists provide a forum for the exchange of timely information from sources throughout the state. Joining A List To join a list, send an e-mail message to listserv@cetpa-k12.org. The message body should contain only two words: SUBSCRIBE EDTECH. Leave the message subject blank. Only members of a list may post messages to it and view the archives. After submitting a request to join a list, you will receive an e-mail confirmation with instructions on how to activate the membership. Posting A Message To The List To post a message, address the message to the name of the list. For example, to post a message to the Edtech list, address your message to edtech@cetpa-k12.org. Access achived list information: EDTECH Adding A List Additional lists will be added as interest or importance dictates. Leaving A List If, after joining a list, you find that you no longer want to participate, simply send an e-mail message to listserv@cetpa-k12.org with the words UNSUBSCRIBE EDTECH in the message body. You will be automatically removed from the list and receive confirmation of your removal. Managing Subscription Options To manage your personal subscription options, commands can be sent in the body of a plain-text e-mail to the listserv processor at listserv@cetpa-k12.org. A brief set of commands can be obtained by sending the "HELP" command to the listserv processor. To obtain a detailed list of commands, send the command "INFO REFCARD". As an alternative to managing subscription options via e-mail, the LISTSERV web interface can be used. Simply enter your e-mail address and name along with the desired subscription options and click "Subscribe". This will generate a confirmation message and will work for those already subscribed to the listserv. For Problems The discussion lists provided by CETPA are hosted by the Imperial County Office of Education. For technical difficulting subscribing, unsubscribing or posting to these lists, please contact the CETPA Webmaster or the ICOE listserv administrator. | | ||||||||||||||
